Aircraft buyers: don’t pay too much. Find out what the market is paying for the aircraft you are about to buy.

Aircraft sellers: sell it faster when you know the current market value and what others are actually paying for the type of aircraft you are selling.

What is an Aircraft Appraisal?

An appraisal written by an Accredited Senior Appraiser is an impartial opinion of the value of an aircraft, prepared by an expert who knows all the factors which make up the current behavior of the used aircraft market.

It is an opinion of value:

  • made by an accredited, recognized, professional aircraft appraiser;
  • based upon experience and repeated analysis of these factors;
  • can be substantiated and justified.

What is a USPAP Aircraft Appraisal?

Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) are standards developed by The Appraisal Foundation which is authorized by Congress as the source of appraisal standards and appraiser qualifications.

USPAP-compliant appraisals are recognized and widely accepted by the US court systems, the US government (IRS and other agencies), financial institutions (loan underwriters), insurance companies (insurance underwriters), and informed aircraft buyers and sellers.

An aircraft appraisal written by an Accredited Senior Appraiser provides the reader with:

  • A detailed examination of maintenance records of airframe, engines, props, instrumentation, avionics and all relative systems.
  • A computer analysis of relevant value data.
  • An adjustment of value for damage history, lost logbooks and aircraft condition.

Who needs an Aircraft Appraisal?

Aircraft Buyers – don’t pay too much, get an accurate, professional, and independent opinion of the value of the aircraft you are about to purchase. The cost of an Aircraft Appraisal is only a fraction of what you’ll pay for the aircraft, but it can save you thousands in costly mistakes.

Aircraft Sellers – know how much to ask for your aircraft. In the current market environment the fastest selling aircraft are those that are priced right. An accurate aircraft appraisal can help you sell your aircraft faster.

Lenders – get fast and accurate USPAP-compliant appraisals to assess your risk before an underwriting decision.

Brokers/Attorneys – know fair market value of an aircraft for estate valuations, divorce settlements and more. Court systems often require USPAP-compliant appraisals such as those provided by

Insurers – set more accurate insured hull values with an aircraft appraisal.

Owners of Damaged Aircraft  – Get a Diminution of Value Appraisal to assess compensatory damages.
